Siena Peterson

Siena is a plant-based recipe creator, self-taught cook and interdisciplinary artist living in Chicago. She is constantly experimenting and exploring the depths of plant-based foods and flavors in the kitchen. She believes food is a grounding and essential part to our daily lives and values the direct connection between food and mental and physical health. Her intuition and creativity is not only a part of her cooking but is what also drives her practice as an interdisciplinary artist. Beyond the kitchen and her art studio, you can find her out running, hanging with her partner Justin and cat Cibo, listening to music, dancing, or enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. 

Philosophy 

The ritual of eating allows us to refuel, indulge, and connect with our bodies. As a vegan; grains, leafy greens, root vegetables, dried and fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices are the main source of my diet. I believe eating nutrient-dense, plant-based food has the ability to benefit not only our physical health but also our mental well-being. By considering food as a source of mental and physical sustainability we can truly benefit from it’s healing properties and create a healthier relationship with food.
